I write suspense-driven fiction exploring power, morality and autonomy in contemporary life; I see it as a means to entertain and connect people, and as an alternative form of advocacy.

For a decade, I worked as a barrister in the UK specialising in asylum, immigration, and human rights law, and I’m a freelance contributor to The Independent, The Tablet, and openDemocracy.

I have a longstanding love affair with Spain, and a newer passion for Guernsey, where I now live with my wife and our two young daughters.
